Haphazard footage from the first ever sweet potato harvest from the plot. It didn't go that great. I was hoping for more. I don't think it was warm enough this year and I didn't invest in cloches. But, lessons learnt and I will probably try again next year.
Since having the allotment, I've tried to base the meals we eat as a family around the crops that are in season. Here are the recipes I've enjoyed, so far, this Autumn.
Today I did some work in the Blueberry cage, to prepare for the winter. After a good weed, I planted some Iris reticulata bulbs "Harmony" and some Crocus blue pearl.
